It looks like Marc Jacobs is staying put after several rumors and talks of him making a move to Dior. It’s been an interesting few months for Jacobs (with the stolen collection and all).
“not moving to Dior was probably best for everyone”
2012 will pose as monumental for Marc Jacobs as and Louis Vuitton. The Louis Vuitton-Marc Jacobs exhibit will be on display at Musée des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. The exhibit will display two floors of the life and work of the two fashionistos. The exhibit will open during the Louis Vuitton Autumn/Winter 2012 Show – Fashion Week Paris.
Lost maybe vaguely put. Let’s try stolen! The collection was scheduled to show in London as part of a press day. An email was sent to attendees that the range had been stolen in transit from France to the UK.
“Dear all, The Marc Jacobs PR team is sorry to inform you that our press day tomorrow in the Marc Jacobs store is cancelled, due to the theft of the Spring/Summer 2012 collections during its transfer from Paris”
This is definitely a story that should be followed as fashion magazines will struggle to shoot the new collection as apart of its spreads.
